Hello !

A girl who leads a virtual and philosophical life.
She has a wise goat in her brain who takes a walk in a new quadrant of the globe everyday .
When back home from its grazing path it shares her heart with the girl whom she confides in.
The girl listens to her , gets poetic sometimes.
Someday she feels rather very informed when she gets to know about the technological advances.
Sometimes lands herself in a jigsaw situation.
Sometimes she is rather bewildered yet confident.
Spriritual sometimes , rather emotional sometimes!

Contradictions

Hey Everybody!
With two days to go for the result of EAMCET to be released. There are once again waves of contradiction flowing through my mind. One tries to make me more philosopher while other is busy to awaken the Vitamin-M in me to take up more risks.

Let me Elucidate ...
As all of us are accustomed to the typical phrases fixed into our skulls by our Well Wishers -"Study Well ,Get Good Grades , Get a High Profile Job , Save Plenty ,Invest on a mutual fund and then retire peacefully ."Thus  ends the forever dreamed tale of a typical educated person.
These advices surely were true and many people must have lived such kind of life .But my question is a bit different . I ask you , Is this advice applicable in current scenario. NO , it is not! Yet people don't stop blabbering the same old saga. Well! Not all people with good grades could secure their jobs during the recent global financial break down! Some found the solution by switching the same job in between several companies. But let me tell you dude , the higher you are paid , the more are your spendings and so are the debts ! So MORE MONEY is not the solution. What I really mean to say is if marks don't really matter then what's the purpose of their existence in the competitive world! Zing! Now you may say they are simply the digits that should not mentally bother much .If thats the case why do they play a vital role .Such things bother the thing which is in between my ears.

The other pair of contradictions may seem to be dramatic as they clash among fear , risk and confidence. As all of us have chewed the popcorn and rolled the tears over for the films like Taare Zameen Par , 3 Idiots etc of similar concepts which motivate us to take over the subjects towards which we have got the passion to study. In contrary , I have read a book namely "Rich Dad , Poor Dad" where the author categorizes 3 kinds of people.

1.The people who choose to push back the circumstances put forth by the life and often end up hurting their own people.Or simply the Poor Class.
2.The people who simply give up to the push and lead the life as it comes.Or merely named as the Middle Class.
3.The people who consider their life as their best teacher and realize that life is trying to teach them something with every push. Those are none other than the Rich People.
One may say that we should not work for money but do our work affectionately .If so is the case why do the same people try to switch the jobs for the mere want of money assuming that the money would solve their problems.

Good Bye!

Vibrant waves

                  THE VIBRANT WAVES

What is the common notion regarding the behaviour of a student
after an academic examination? Well  , as the age  increases ,the human
brain proportionally grows and so does the thoughts which are  initially
tender later turn blemish and tactful . If a kindergarten kid is questioned
,he will sternly say that he is excited because  he  is happy because he will
have  a lot of time to spend for his toys and gadgets than  before . You can
clearly demarcate  the joy in his eyes. In contrary , if a teenager is asked to
put  forth his view over this ,you can surely observe a breathe of relief in his
words but anxiety of missing his fun days sparks forth. Thanks  to the
social networking sites that bring your dearest ones much closer to your heart
and soul than ever before  but end up creating a communication barriers
between you and the person seated next to you.

All queries apart and moving on my expression after completing the common
entrance test which created nightmares  to my family in surplus relative to me .
I had mixed emotions dawdling in my head. Finally got salvage  from the
commercial system of education where knowledge was indeed in lieu for marks.
It was the same case with about a lakh students apart from me . In spite of
having no rue of my admission into a corporate college there were
personalities who claimed that they can now feel the freedom as their life was
at wreck for the past two years.

No sooner did I finish my exam than my rummage for a past time began . As the
gale namely, exam had already passed by , I determined that my life needed to
be accelerated to such an extent that laziness felt uncouth .
Enjoy and let enjoy!

Examinations -What can be the other way out ?

Hey all ,
After a lengthy pause in my blogs , I'm back to munch your time as I did earlier. Before you scroll down I would like to make few aspects of this post clear so that you guys don't end up wasting your precious yet swift gift namely time over this.
A.This is basically for student and parent community the  rest can stay out.
B.I assure you that even though the blog is really very lengthy it is worth a reading which wont let you loose your temper.
I concur with the following point of view...
Examinations are, at times, good and necessary ways of testing a student's ability to commit information to memory, to work under pressure and to find out what they know. However, examinations must not become regular. Regular examinations result in students working toward exams and exams only. They do not work in order to learn. Knowledge for the sake of knowledge is rid of in a system where examinations reign supreme. Whilst coursework may easily be cheated on, it is ridiculous to suggest that the only other way of testing a student's abilities and knowledge is through examination.

Class discussions and debates are, with active class participation, one of the most effective ways of learning and retaining information. Through being forced to better one's own views and opinions, theories and answers, the student gains a deeper insight into their own arguments, becomes better at discussing their views, and the class benefits from listening to these views and thinking about how the views of their peers compare to those of their own. Through this they can alter their own opinions or form new ones.

Class participation is a necessary requirement seeing as how even if one person refuses to engage in the discussion, their own ideas are never put to the test of both the peers and their teacher, and so receive no benefit for their own beliefs, and the class also receives no benefit from that particular student. And this is just one student! Full class participation is an absolute requirement.

How do we accurately test students? We test them through what they are best at and what they are happiest with through immediate student and teacher feedback during and after classes. Weekly or monthly the parents/guardians of those students will receive report cards, showing which subjects their son/daughter is best at, and which they need the most help with. It will also be noted which classes are that child's favorite.

Parents and students must also be able to suggest ways in which their classes could be made better, so long as the suggestions are realistic, reasonable and that they contribute to the learning environment in such a way that the students learn more and at no cost to student/teacher and student/student relationships

Examinations should appear annually, but no more than that. If there are discrepancies between one's examination and one's school work, then this must be investigated, as it would be within the current system now. However, discrepancies are far less likely within this proposed framework, as all the progress and learning goes on during school hours and under the supervision and encouragement of the teacher.
Examination as a measure of intelligenceMost people accept an exam as a measure of intelligence. How a teacher looks upon his students' performances in various activities of the school depends upon the theory he believes in.

It is generally accepted that primarily there are three kinds of intelligences- social, mechanical and abstract. Most exams test the last, through the degree of intelligence in its pure form cannot be measured except by following a procedure to do so through a devised intelligence tests.
But these do not point to the size of strength or weakness in each of the particular mental ability that is being measured. Even the IQ tests measure the general status only. Two persons with same IQ can have different mental abilities. For example you can be good in languages but may not be so with numbers. No one's intelligence can be estimated solely on the basis of marks obtained in school subjects.

A child of ten years and another of eleven may be considered equally intelligent if they get the same marks. But isn't the younger one more intelligent? Similarly, an industrious but comparatively slow child may obtain more marks than another who is more intelligent but not as industrious.

Preparation and attitude towards examinationsIf a student and his parents and teachers are aware of the mechanics of stress, they can work together to reduce its emotional and physiological consequences. Self-appraisal of your intelligence potential is very important. It will help you in analyzing the study material for the exams and prioritizing areas that need review. The earlier this exercise is brought in to play, the lesser the pressure as examination time approaches.

We know that the prospect of taking on exam is more stressful than the exam itself. As the exam approaches, the pressure gets compounded with the knowledge that one has not prepared adequately. One of the surest ways to prevent the build-up of pre-exam stress is continuous revision. This gives you a feeling of working in a constructive manner towards a goal and makes you feel less stressful.

There is no substitute for hard work, but how does one go about working smart? Doubts and unclear sections should be jotted down and cleared at the earliest. Never ever hesitate asking for help. Teachers are the best source of information on how to revise and can advise you on what your strengths and weakness are.

Too much information gathered from here, there and everywhere creates stress. Thanks to internet, there is no dearth of reading material. It is important to use one's power of discretion and sift what you need from what you don't.

Discretion can be developed through constantly posting queries in whatever is being studied. Discretionary ability can help you handle various subjects and topics including compositions, summaries, objective questions, and scientific data and so on.

Being able to remember is one of the first intellectual abilities to develop. Memory is the basis for imagining, creating, associating meaning and reasoning. Forgetfulness is usually regarded as a liability and memory as an asset.

A lot of people get unduly worried when they forget something. Forgetting is a psychological fact and should be accepted as such. One way of over-coming this is by over-learning, accepting that a part of what is learnt is going to be forgotten anyway.

According to some of the experiments the speed of forgetting is as follows.

- after one hour-55%
- after nine hour-64%
- after one day -68%
- after two days-72%
- after one week-75%
- after one month-79%

Periodic revision is extremely important as it reinforces knowledge acquired earlier. If you recall most of what you had learnt you feel more confident about handling the next assignment.

Set aside sometime for review daily. A topic must be studied the same day it is taught in the class. Practice recall while reading. Don't think that once you have read a lesson and understood it, there is no need to go over it another time. Repetitive exercises are absolutely essential to not only recall what you have learnt but to express views, effectively for the examiner.

Treat the subjects with curiosity for different fields of knowledge. You will then learn and enjoy the lessons. Willingness to learn and an open frame of mind do half the job for you.

Unless you are mentally prepared to take on the responsibility of study on your own shoulders, no amount of advice or cajoling will help. A broad horizon enables you see a problem in the right perspective and solve it more effectively. This can, however, be done only over a period of time not just before the exams. It is imperative to develop a love for reading, and learning from the world around you.

Banish negative thoughts the moment they enter your mind and distract you. One often hears students, especially girls say, 'I am sure to fail'; 'I will never be able to understand this'. Negative thinking does not get you anywhere. Examination should be considered a part of the on-going process of education. Remember
, no matter what, there's always a next time.

Enjoy and let enjoy!

An eye opener :)

Given below are some suggestions for people who plan to crack the competitive examinations ,especially IIT-JEE.
After all the mock tests and tips from peers, IIT JEE is almost like a battle of nerves
Mr Sayed Sultan helps you here to get over some of that stress so that you use your mental faculties better. Syed, a Chemical Engineer by qualification is a trained counselor, public speaking coach and an expert in Innovative school management. He is also the Managing Director of EduMedia and is the brain behind events like Horlicks Wizkids, Pogo Funtakshari, Classmate Young Author Contest etc.

From RS - I would like to know if you would suggest the students who are giving the IIT exam this Sunday should they do mock tests just 2 days before the exam...
SSA: Dear RS, it is always good to prepare well in advance and relax closer to the exams. If the student is well prepared and confident allow them to play, go out for a movie, meet friends before the exams. If they want to revise it is fine but advisable not to study new concepts or notes before exams. Let them focus on relaxing... remember Dhoni... the more relaxed you are the better you perform!

Sir is it necessary to read in organizations like fiitjee to do wel in iit jee??? is the iitjee syllabus similar to the class 11 and 12 syllabus of west bengal board?

SSA: Dear Saptarshi, NO even if you have studied on your own you can do well in these exams. Institutions and coaching classes can only help you become more serious and practice well for the exams. If you are disciplined and spend a good quality time practicing before hand you can still do well even if you do not attend the coaching classes

urvashi: i m nt so gud in physics and have exam this year ...quite tensed what to do
SSA: Dear Urvashi, if you are not good in physics try and put extra effort and study it and do well. Seek help from friends and teachers I am sure they will help. My suggestion would be when you go to college please dont take up any subject you dont enjoy

[Comment From mrinal ]
everyting just IIT IIM ...others do not have chances.....god shake....dont force everyone...to be engineer....gud day..
1:11
SSA: Dear Mrinal, totally agree with you. there is no such thing as only iit or iim, if you are smart and love what you do you will be successful in whatever you do. by the way the most respected people in our society and most loved rarely came from iit or iim!!!

[Comment From sraban ]
can anyone help me about iit-jee???
1:12
SSA: Dear Sraban, no one excepting God or yPublish Postourself can help you. If you do not have the mobile number of God start studying....

r: Dear Sir,
My son is in 12th this year, he has joined Bansal Coaching, Kota, Raj. IIT-JEE in 11th & continuing. What measures we have to take & what schedule he has to follow to crack IIT-JEE 2012. Is there any change is pattern in IIT-JEE in 2012?
SSA: Dear r, since you have already entrolled him in the Mecca of IIT Entrance.. that is Kota there is nothing much you can do now. Everything and everyone in that city lives breathes and talks iit so your son will pretty much only do that he will not get too distracted. You could actually do a great favor by not putting too much expectations on him and doing thing to relax him a bit. Let him know you are there for him even if he does not do well in his entrance. Give him confidence and he will do wonders.
[Comment From raj ]
wht mood should we go with in exam hall
1:25
SSA: Dear Raj, go to any big exam in your life with a big smile on your face and a cheerful mood. Tell yourself that you will do your best and the outcome will only help you in taking you forward in life. Dont put too much pressure to do well, only the most relaxed minds do well in life.... remember Dhoni & the finals???

SSA: Thank you everyone for coming online, it was a pleasure chating with you. Hope my inputs and suggestions have helped. Take care and all the very best to you to crack the IIT-JEE and more importantly Good luck to you in your life ahead...

Enjoy and let enjoy!

Triggering of the Tsunami

How Japan managed it .
Japan has suffered its worst natural disaster in living memory. Friday's earthquake and tsunami have claimed hundreds of lives. AP described scenes in Japan as "apocalyptic".

India is safe from any tsunami threat at the moment, but we can learn many lessons from the way the Japanese have dealt with what The Japan Times called "the wrath of Mother Nature".
Management.
The NY Times ran a slide show that gives an idea of the extent of damage. In one picture, planes and cars sat amidst the debris at Sendai airport, with its covered with mud after the tsunami had receded. Airports, harbours and railway stations stopped operations the moment the earthquake and tsunami struck. But within hours, the Japanese channels announced that the airports had reopened for operations.

Japan's nuclear reactors remain shut down, and people in the vicinity of one have been evacuated as its cooling system had stopped working. The country's tsunami alert system helped thousands move away from the coast to higher areas. Clearly, much thought and foresight goes into disaster management in Japan.
In India, a tsunami of this scale would have meant several thousand deaths, and a tragedy of much greater proportions. In 2004, when tidal waves came crashing, 2.8 lakh people died in the Asia-Pacific region, 2.2 lakh in Indonesia alone. The death toll in India was suspected to be 18,045. How does Japan manage to keep its disaster deaths low? What is it that Japan knows that the rest of the world doesn't?
Obedience to the laws.
For one, Japan enforces strict building laws. (This may come as a surprise to builders in India, who routinely violate municipal and zoning laws). Japan is a seismically sensitive area, and has, over the years, prepared for eventualities such as Friday's. As The New York Times reported, "From seawalls that line stretches of Japan's coastline, to skyscrapers that sway to absorb earthquakes, to building codes that are among the world’s most rigorous, no country may be better prepared to withstand earthquakes than Japan… Had any other populous country suffered the 8.9 magnitude earthquake that shook Japan on Friday, tens of thousands of people might already be counted among the dead. So far, Japan’s death toll is in the hundreds, although it is certain to rise."
Is India better prepared for a tsunami, post-December 2004? Yes, according to the Deccan Herald, which said the country's "robust tsunami warning system" was standing it in good stead. The tsunami warning centre in Hyderabad "can not only issue alerts to India but every neighbouring country within 10 minutes of any big quake, capable of triggering a tsunami."
India does not bother too much about building earthquake-resistant homes. But Japan has taken its earthquake proneness seriously. As the NYT said, "Over the years, Japan has spent billions of dollars developing the most advanced technology against earthquakes and tsunamis. The Japanese, who regularly experience smaller earthquakes and have lived through major ones, know how to react to quakes and tsunamis because of regular drills — unlike Southeast Asians, many of whom died in the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami because they lingered near the coast."
Where do we stand.
India has spent Rs 125-crore tsunami to set up the warning centre at the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services, and has predicted 25-30 major earthquakes in the last three years.
“So far we are 100 per cent right and have not issued any false alert,” INCOIS director Sateesh Shenoi told Deccan Herald. India does not face any threat from the 8.9 earthquake in Japan even though the scientists at the centre are monitoring the ocean waves round-the-clock.
In Japan, a man had a panic attack when the earthquake began. Even as the tremors continued, and the ground was shaking, an ambulance came to his help, an eyewitness told an American newspaper. Such readiness in times of crisis sets the Japanese apart from the Indians.
Discipline.
With trains shut down, thousands milled around the stations in Tokyo, prepared to spend the night on the platforms and in their offices. Passengers stood in orderly queues for taxis, and many stored up on food that they said they would share with their colleagues, The Japan Times reported.

Watching the same thing ..in a DIFFERENT way !

Hey all!
Today ,after completing my so called exam I had to wait for a friend of mine to start for home.As I stood in the balcony jobless ,I turned towards the so called road that lies before our college with path holes in every possible step.I made my self busy looking at the pedestrians , riders ,waiting people etc .
I observed many people and noticed that each one was strange , weird in their own way.this made me quote this..
Everyone finds a weirdo in each one .
I actually don't remember the sequence in which they passed by but will try to put down the incidents as they flash into my memory. All of us find such personalities somewhere or the other in this immensely filled up world.
So, one of them was a bald man who had some hair on the dorsal side of his head .
He didn't want that to hinder his style .He didn't like his scalp to shine <sarcasm>.
Or whatever the reason may be so read on for what he did...
He dyed his head entirely  <hair+hairless region>.I really wondered why that person did the so weird stuff. But what I appreciate about the man was the attitude he held while he walked passed the packed street.

The other was a Li'L boy who I suppose was a gardener's son in the apartments which stand tall before my college. What I liked and admire was his effort .endeavor to help his parents out who were busy collecting a clay from a heap of it. At first when I sighted him , he was busy thrashing the heap ,I took him as a toddler toiling around with his toy to find something to play .It was after a while I realized he was helping out his parents who were doing the same job. When he realized he couldn't do the job , he tossed his bat ,put it the other side and started picking up the clay with his own hands. That was so sweet and empathizing about the toddler who in spite of being young <kid> made every possible attempt to help his parents out.

Ok then,
Enjoy and let enjoy!

There is a voice inside my head ...

There's nothing called boredom in the world ...If you think you are bored then you have not only stopped being productive but also less consuming..

‎! ENGINEERING /Medicine has become an essential part of life..when u say that you are a commerce  or science graduate people look at you as if you are from a zoo..!! If you say you are an engineer..peopel look at you in a different way !That is our typical Indian Society !
 Confused + puzzled + sleepy = ME :-( ~

Seriously, life is better when you decide you don't care

All of  us are aware of the advising grandma over the web ,I found an answer of one of them appealing ...

"it is bad to learn the weapon usage on the battle field during the war", just for examination purpose if u study it is worthless because it will not help you to survive in future gaining knowledge is important which requires complete dedication which in turns require some time to be spent.

Blog = Diary ?

 Hey everybody!
This time I am back with topics many in number and over miscellaneous issues or events . To start with lets start off with the very caption. What I feel over this issue is that...

                                                       =

1. You maintain a diary to organize yourself ,cherish your golden moments and lessen your sorrow. In brief ,its a personal stuff and something name privacy should be maintained.
2. Blogs are meant to share your thoughts , experiences which can be useful to others or some literary work et al . In fact , when you put any stuff over the web it should be either entertaining or informative.Either social type or fun. But I see people putting down their ever day schedules over the blog ...that makes the reader  feel so unimportant..Even I DO THAT STUFF SOMETIMEs..

Well, here  comes the difference in opinion ,People say that you are at your best only when you stop caring about what others think of you.

As a writer you are supposed to keep the reader in mind but if you start thinking about the person who is observing you ,you stop giving you centum to your writing.

Chao!

Changing circumstances...

A friend of mine forwarded this...Not an emotional type of stuff but yes its quite contemporary !

Stay away from the evil friend as much as possible, because a bad friend is worse than a poisonous serpent. A snake bites only on one's life but an evil friend attacks not only the life but also one's faith.

Considering the current social atmosphere and circumstances, one shouldn't make more than necessary closeness with anybody, as it doesn't take much time for the circumstances to change. Being a confidant, that person will give much trouble.

Similarly, if some time there is enmity with someone, keep it light don't make it too serious. Don’t cross limits. Perhaps that person may become your friend later and you regret it.

Enjoy and let enjoy!

Distractions! Can one avoid them ?

////As I told you I read through many  articles mainly dealing with the Gen X, here is yet another one..

Virtual distractions due to FB and other social networking sites is a common problem while studying.
Chatting is a pastime and kids love them !Here are so called suggestions and my opinions over it .Enjoy reading!
1.Keep your computer away!
The so called best way according to the writer of this article is to ensure that you are not seated anywhere near the computer or laptop .That way you willnot be tempted to log in.Plan a break with your friends so they are online at the same time and for same duration. This way you are compelled to stick to the timings. Above all , in the timetable that you make for yourself slot a very small span for going online ; that way even if you exceed your time limit.
 + Points:

  1. This is good as staying away from the thing you like ,helps you thinks about other things and work towards other priorities in life...
  2. Its comes out to be great when you ask your friends to login the time you lime them.
-Points:

  1. But staying off from your addiction is not an easy task to take up . Gaining full concentration over other topics is not easy but yet a good step.
  2. This is merely very difficult for a teenager like me. First of all ,How many of us can stay away from our systems for 'not getting distracted'.
  3. Your friends can surely login on a given time while if they are greater addicts they cannot let you log out so early ,and it gets quite tougher if your friend is a talkative creature.
  4. Its really hilarious for someone to be online at the same time and for same duration.

2. Study interesting topics:

I m in a hurry and I guess the side heading itself is sufficient to explain..
Look , we are given these typical lectures by our concerned teacher , but it hardly effects us.
This is a typical thing but can't  keep you fixed for a long time.

3. Pursue your hobby:
The writer says that the first way to avoid virtual distraction is to discontinue internet @ home ! This is the limit! I bet that the writer definitely is not a net user but surely a book worm!
Chatting is a pastime and kids love them because nowadays hobbies like reading or writing whi
ch one should practice during leisure is waning away..
Schools can play a role in this regard by trying to keep students occupied with homework or
projects. Teachers can divide students into group and give them projects to do .

I better get lost now as I guess  I have been talking for too long since now!
HAVE A glorious day ahead !

! ! !Nerds ! ! !

book is a set or collection of written, printed, illustrated, or blank sheets, made of paperparchment, or other various material, usually fastened together to hinge at one side.A lover of books is usually referred to as a bibliophile, a bibliophilist, or a philobiblist, or, more informally, a bookworm.
After a really very long time I had got the time to look into the newspaper where  I found really very many topics to discuss...
First I had read about various views of student community over the creepy , clumpsy  yet discreet living beings namely "NERD".The nerd here was described in the following way in the newspaper.
Nerds are mostly people who love books and be in their teachers goodbooks. They are mostly people who dislike whiling away the free time in school. They are serious by nature and hardly indulge in pranks or talking too much.
I could agree to the definition as to what kind of people can actually be called as the four letter word. Then this was not all they wrote , there was something more I found which though cleared many doubts of mine yet created many as apprehensions as well!
CHARACTER SKETCH -Check out if you are one among them

  •  THE LOOKS:

The classic look of a nerd comprises of :
  1. BIG spectacles ,
  2. Well combed hair,
  3. properly tucked in shirt
books in hand

  • TRAITS

      1. The stereotypical nerd is intelligent but socially and physically awkward. .

They are so much into books and careless about looks and anything else.

                                                       THEIR OPINION
The world outside looks very bleak and out of reach to them.
Even the conversations that a nerd indulges in are very manipulative or rather done only to achieve something.
             THEIR LOVE
Nerds are always the ones sitting on the front benches ,with all books completed ,asking the teachers hundreds and hundreds of doubts for just catching up the teachers attentioN...
WHERE CAN YOU FIND THEM
They can be easily found sitting on the front benches. During free periods they can be found on the front benches.
During free periods they can be found in library

Fame on a sarcastic note

This is how it happens...
You try become like them irrespective of your profession ,morals etc..
A wrestler or an actor ,a mountaineer , an eskimo , a beauty queen or whatsover...

You dont even worry about the consequences...

 You struggle like hell............

Later you are confused.....

So work hard ...with an aim which fetches you much of satisfaction rather than fame. Fame comes to those who work with satisfaction and not to those who work for fame.....
